SprintTimer Guide
SprintTimer tutorial
This is first, simple test to let you familiarise yourself with SprintTimer while sitting at your desk:
Photo Finish
- Tap SprintTimer on the main menu (skip the set ups for now)
- Tap the Start clock button
- Hold up the iPhone/iPad in one hand and tap Start recording
- Drag a finger or a pen in front of the camera from left to right
- Wait for the recording to finish and the Photo finish to be rendered
- Swipe the image left and right and read the time in the top right corner
- Change the slice width and see the effect on your hand
- Tap the info button in the top left corner to see all the options.
The image below shows what the screen looks like in the recording mode and in the finish mode respectively. Note how the background is smoothed/blurred and only moving objects are visible in the finish mode.

Video Finish
- Tap SprintTimer on the main menu
- Go to the Finish set up and choose Finish Mode: Video
- Go back
- Tap the Start clock button
- Hold up the iPhone/iPad in one hand and tap Start recording
- Drag a finger or a pen in front of the camera from left to right
- Stop the recording
- Scroll through the video using the slider and the arrows
- Note that only frames where there was motion were recorded
- Tap the info button in the top left corner to see all the options.
